kiba-dock

I’m using a 3d desktop with cool eye candy effects based on Beryl for some thime now. Now I have also installed kiba-dock, which is a start bar similiar to the dock of Mac OS X with an own physics engine.
I recorded a video of this desktop (download, XviD, 17,5 MB). I’m sorry that it is not very smooth, but the parallel video recording used up much resources. But without the video recording everything runs smoothly.

I was surprisingly called: I am one of the best three in this year’s Welfenlab Competition, again. That’s a computer science competition for pupils and I took place for the fourth time there. Every year I became on place better, therefore I hope, that it will be the first place this year.
But it was much more difficult to estimate how much time it took me, which I was asked during the conversation. In the end I estimated that it took me 200 hours ore more. Anyway I have no idea whether this number is correct or completely wrong.

Just got my mark for my oral examination: I’ve reached 10 out of 15 points which is a 2- on the German mark system with 1 as the best mark and 6 as the worst. Could have been one or two points better, but 10 points are also ok.

I just finished my last final secondary-school (oral) examination in History. Finally I do not need to learn anything and can enjoy the sunny weather (which means I’m sitting in a hot room in front of my computer 
). The examination itself was ok, most of the questions I could answer, but there were also some which I could not answer. At half past 5 I will get my mark. I was a little bit surprised that the headmaster was in the examination, because I hadn’t a bad mark in History. But I was told that he wants us to get a good mark and therefore it is in your examination. Anyway it did not make any difference as well es the spectator (yes, I permitted spectators in my examination, nevertheless I never watched the examination of someone else).
