Yesterday I updated the server, which resulted in some downtime of the homepage. But now everything is running fine again.

Moreover I’m using Twitter with the nickname hyper_world now. I installed a plugin showing the last message at the right top, too.

I found a interesting presentation held by Stanford professor Larry Lessig about copyright law and the influence of the internet culture. It was recoreded at a TED conference. Much more interesting presentations can be seen at www.ted.com. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. But enough of words, here comes the video:

Why We Enjoy Music

Some time ago I read “On Intelligence” by Jeff Hawkins. In this book he presents his hypothesis that the human intelligence is based mainly on prediction, to put it in a nutshell. Building on this I developed an explanation approach for the question why we enjoy music.

New Game Released

I have just released a new game: Connect Four is exactly what the name says. It is was written in Java for a university course and provides a computer opponent and a network mode.
